Bettye Hart, Director of Child Nutrition, has over 26 years of child nutrition experience. She oversees the school lunch, breakfast, after – school snacks, summer feeding and fresh fruit and vegetable snack programs. The Child Nutrition Department also caters meals to Holy Child Jesus School and to the “Triple C” after school program at Nichols Middle School. In addition, she manages a budget which exceeds two million dollars, a cafeteria staff of 45 workers, along with an administrative staff of three.
Nichols Middle School is the centralized location where lunch is coded and shipped out to the district’s schools. Breakfast is prepared onsite at the various schools.
