Demetria Armon

State and Federal Programs Director

I welcome you to the Office of State and Federal Programs.  This office is responsible for overseeing the spending of federal funds.  Those programs include Title I, Title II, Title III, other school improvement granted funds, and a 21st Century grant.  These funds are supplementary in nature and provide much needed help to the schools in the procurement of materials and services.

My philosophy is that each child should be provided the best opportunity to grasp all that they can and that each adult is charged with the responsibility to make sure that this happens.  I believe that children enter this world as blank slates and that whatever gets written on their slate is inherently written with the help of someone, hopefully a responsible, caring adult.

I am proud to be a member of the Canton Public School District’s family.  And as such, I take the responsibility to provide a positive example of what an adult should be.
