Principal’s Welcome:
Welcome to the 2011 - 2012 school year! What an exciting time of year it is! As I embark upon on my first year as the instructional leader of Canton Elementary School, I look forward to partnering with the parents, staff, and community of the Canton Public School District to create an environment where the scholars of CES will thrive academically and socially. This year will be a rewarding and productive school year filled with achievement and success for everyone. I will work hard to continue the academic excellence that has become the tradition at Canton Elementary School.
My leadership vision for Canton Elementary is to become one of the highest performing schools in the nation. I am confident that we have comprised the students, staff, and parental support that are essential in helping us accomplish this goal. The children of CES will continue to be held to high expectations and are encouraged to develop their optimal academic, social and personal potential. We will continue to focus on reaching, teaching, and touching every child’s life in a positive way. Through hard work and collective efforts, we can ensure that all of our students have access to high quality, standards-based instruction that will enable them to be successful in the global workplace.
My door continues to swing on welcoming hinges. As always, please accept my wishes for an enriching, productive, and academically rewarding school year! Together, we are building the future, one child at a time!

Welcome Message from the Assistant Principal
Welcome to another new and exciting year at Canton Elementary School, where we continue to Prance toward Extraordinary Distinction! I am extremely pleased and motivated to serve as assistant principal for the 2011-2012 school term. It is our mission to be accountable for providing a globally competitive education that empowers students to achieve academic and personal goals and become productive, responsible citizens. Together, we will fulfill our mission!
As educators, our goal is to supply every child with the tools he or she may need to succeed. These tools consist of caring teachers, challenging educational experiences, and a love of learning. However, it takes the combined efforts of both a school and a home to succeed in educating a child. There is no doubt that when home and school work together, we can make a difference in our children’s education, and ultimately their lives. Let’s all make the commitment to give our children our very best.
My vision for Canton Elementary School is for it to become a school that would be the module of exceptional learning and teaching. I am confident that we have students with the capabilities to soar and reach newer heights, educators that will be the wind beneath their wings, and parents that will boost confidence and esteem to ensure that nothing but the best is achieved. Let’s all embrace this new school year with the confidence that we all will reach beyond what the eye can see and touch what has never been felt. Working together, this will be a rewarding, successful, and Star Status filled school year!
