Senior Project:
The Senior Project is a four-part, year-long assignment. Most of the work will be completed outside of class. The first component of the Project is the notebook. The second is the research paper, which will require you to use specific skills such as research, organization, and time management to produce a fairly lengthy document. The second component is the actual project, a “hands-on” experience or product related to some aspect of the research topic. NOTE: You will need a mentor who will provide some expertise on the project and verify your completion of the project. The last component of the Project is an oral presentation. During this presentation, the student will explain their process(es) for completing the research and the project. Don’t worry… I will go step-by-step through the entire process.
Academic Honesty:
Cheating and plagiarism is unacceptable. Any student engaged in academic dishonesty will automatically receive a failing grade on the assignment/essay/exam. Additionally, administration and parent/guardians will be contacted.
Make-up Policy:* No late homework will be accepted unless a student has an excused absence. In this case, the student is responsible for obtaining the missed work and completing it within three days of returning to school. Students who make work up will not be eligible to receive an "A" or "B" on the assignment.
* Tests must be made up within three days of returning to school. Because we are on block schedule, tests can only be made up on the next scheduled class day (Blue [A} or Gold [B.} The student is responsible for scheduling a time to take his or her test.
