I am aware that many of you are concerned about the district’s decision to reschedule our homecoming activities from Friday to Thursday. Please rest assured that we put a great deal of thought into this decision, and we placed our students’ needs at the forefront. We considered the hundreds of dollars that our young ladies spent on dresses that could be ruined in the rain. We considered our football players and the need for the best possible weather to increase their chances of winning their homecoming game. We considered the potentially hazardous conditions that could result in accidents or other injuries.
We understand your concerns, but we are placing our current students’ needs above all else. We hope that you will understand and support our decision to put our children first.
