Dear Canton Public Schools Family,
As this COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we are revising our contingency plans to adequately respond to it. The Canton Public School District Board of Trustees and I have consulted and decided that it is in the best interest of our community to now close schools for two weeks, March 16-27, 2020. At this time, students will not report to school until March 30, 2020. If this changes, we will update you immediately. The safety of our students remains our top priority. 

 CPSD will continue to help keep your child engaged in learning during these uncertain times by providing online instructional materials. Please visit our website at, look on the home page under assignments or visit your child's school website or Facebook page to find helpful links for continued learning.

During this time, we are asking our school community to continue following the advice of the Mississippi Department of Health to assist in stopping the spread of the virus.
