Superintendent Gary Hannah says due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in our area, the Canton Public School District will remain in Virtual Learning to begin the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year. CPSD leaders will continue to monitor the number of cases to determine when we will return to a traditional learning environment. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. As this pandemic continues to evolve, we ask for your patience as we revise our contingency plans to adequately respond to this pandemic. During this time, we are asking our school community to continue following the advice of the Mississippi Department of Health and CDC to assist in stopping the spread of the virus by continuing to wear a mask, wash your hands, social distance, and avoid large gatherings. Schools and Central Office will be closed for our Christmas Break beginning December 21st. Teachers return January 4th. Students return January 5th as we begin our third term. CPSD wishes you a safe and enjoyable Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
