Student 2021-2022 Online Registration Underway

2021-2022 CPSD Student Online Registration is underway.

 To attend kindergarten, children must be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2021. 

Snap codes will be emailed to Returning Students. Two (2) documents showing proof of residency are required.

Parents registering returning students should bring to their child’s school: *Two (2) documents showing proof of residency & Identification

Residency Verification:

CMU bill showing the LAST 30 days/

Entergy bill showing LAST 30 days Home

/ car insurance with current address showing residency,

automobile registration Mortgage deed, property tax receipt, or car tag receipt Home /

Apartment lease agreement Voter precinct identification

Filed Homestead Exemption Form Certified

copy of filed petition for guardianship if pending and final decree when granted

Driver’s License

New Students are required to register online before dropping required documents off at the Central Office drop box.

Items needed to register your child(ren) for New Students Registration:

State certified birth certificate (Must be original) Certificate of Immunization Compliance Form 121

Student’s Social Security Card

Two (2) documents showing proof of residency*

Address & phone number of previously attended school

Most recent report card or transcript

Group I Proof of Residency - Homestead exemption, lease, mortgage OR property deed with current address on it.

Group II Proof of Residency - Current utility bill dated within 30 days of enrollment. (Acceptable bills include Electricity, gas, landline telephone, cable TV, satellite TV, and water bill).

Note: *The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) requires the Tdap vaccination for all students entering 7th Grade. *All Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students must have a chickenpox vaccination.

If an item is not provided, registration is considered incomplete, and the child cannot be placed on a class roll.

Non-Parental Approval (2021-2022)

• Custodians who are the present caregivers of a child, other than a parent or legal guardian of the child, may be considered for Non-Parental Enrollment according to specific criteria. This enrollment type is reviewed and approved by district personnel considering the unique circumstances that would require this kind of enrollment as noted below.

Approved custodians who are enrolling under Non-Parental Affidavit status should contact the Office of Student Support Services at (601) 859-3089.

The Non-Parental Affidavit is only considered based on the following: 1. Parent/legal guardian is incarcerated.

2. Parent/legal guardian is deployed.

3. Parent/legal guardian abandoned child.

4. Parent/legal guardian is deceased, and guardianship is not yet established.

The Non-Parental Affidavit is only valid for one school year and approvals are granted on a case-by-case basis.
