QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 

Instructional Supplies and Software May 20, 2024 

Question 1: We were awarded during the 2024-02 Instructional Supplies and Software RFP, do we respond to the current bid for the 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software? Answer: Yes, that is correct for academic year 2024-2025.

Question 2: The specifications document mentions a Budget Summary Form and a Work Checklist. Are they available elsewhere? Answer: Please note the Scope of Work Checklist/Budget Summary Form items (referenced on page10) are not applicable to RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software. Please omit.

Question 3: Is there an attachment for the Scope of Work Checklist/Budget Summary Form for RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies & Software? Answer: Please note the Scope of Work Checklist/Budget Summary Form items (referenced on page10) are not applicable to RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software. Please omit.

Question 4: I am interested in submitting a proposal for this RFP. Could you please send a copy of the specifications? Answer: Please reference the Focus/Specifications outlined on page 6 of RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software.

Question 5: The RFP references a Scope of Work Checklist. Will this be issued? Answer: Please note the Scope of Work Checklist is not applicable to RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software. Please omit.

Question 6: As an approved Vendor for RFP 2024-02 Instructional Supplies and Software, is any action required for RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software?
Answer: Yes, that is correct for academic year 2024-2025.

Question 7: What is the breakdown of students, teachers, and administrators?
Answer: Please reference the following breakdown estimation: K- 225; Grade 1-236; Grade 2-285; Grade 3-269; Grade 4-238; Grade 5-200; Grade 6- 262; Grade 7-252; Grade 8- 245; Grade 9- 256; Grade 10- 232; Grade 11- 221; Grade 12-153; Elementary Teacher Count- 145; Secondary Teacher Count- 70; Principal Count- 1 per School; Assistant Principal- 1 per school; High School- 2.

Question 8: Can vendors submit programs for specific grade bands?
Answer: Yes, specific grade bands are permissible.

Question 9: What is the target group of the RFP?
Answer: The target group of RFP 2025-01 is Kindergarten - 12 grades.

Question 10: Will material samples be required?
Answer: Please reference the Format and Procedure for Delivery of Proposal on page 9 of RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software.

Question 11: Does this include supplemental software programs?
Answer: Instructional Supplies and Software may include print materials, textbooks, novels, leveled readers, licenses, subscriptions, digital or online platforms, data and information management tools, workbooks, technology, enhanced intervention sites and pathways with a focus on relevant teaching and learning, culturally relevant pedagogy, content and conceptual development, observation and debriefing, coherent integration of resources, vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum, and in depth training to the level of rigor and complexity that meets the K-12 Mississippi State Standards for all applicable subject.

Question 12: Do you have a timeline for the review and decision- making process?
Answer: Yes, please reference the Tentative Timeline on page 25 RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software.

 

Question 13: What academic year will this adoption begin? And will any Advanced Placement courses be included?
Answer: RFP 2025-01 Instructional Supplies and Software will entail the 2024-2025 SY. Instructional Supplies and Software may include print materials, textbooks, novels, leveled readers, licenses, subscriptions, digital or online platforms, data and information management tools, workbooks, technology, enhanced intervention sites and pathways with a focus on relevant teaching and learning, culturally relevant pedagogy, content and conceptual development, observation and debriefing, coherent integration of resources, vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum, and in depth training to the level of rigor and complexity that meets the K-12 Mississippi State Standards for all applicable subject.
